Searches · What AI looked up
See what AI searched for.
Before it answers, an assistant often searches the web. We group those searches and show the sites they led to, so you can see the words to write your pages around.
The question it answers
“What does AI look up before it answers?”
Not every assistant says which search found which page. Where one doesn’t, we show the sites cited in that same answer.

Straight answers
Plain facts about sources.
A citation isn’t a recommendation
A site being cited means AI used it for that answer. It doesn’t tell you what the site said about you, so read the page before you act on it.
We don’t know how AI decides
We see what it cites, not why. We show the pattern across many answers and don’t pretend to know the reason.
How sites get sorted
Your own sites, your competitors’ and many well-known sites are recognised directly. The rest are sorted by AI once and remembered, and a site we can’t sort says so.
One answer, one count
An answer that links to one site three times counts that site once, so a single long answer can’t skew the list.
Questions
Why does this matter?
AI assistants build many answers from the pages they find. If the pages they rely on leave you out, the answer is likely to leave you out too.
How is this different from backlinks?
Backlinks are links between websites. These are the pages AI assistants really cited when they answered your buyers’ questions.
Will getting on these sites get me named?
It can help, and nobody can promise it. Record what you did in the fix log and the next checks show what changed.
Can I download this?
Yes. Each check has a PDF report, and you can download its answers, with the sites each one cited, as a CSV.
