Opal AEO

DRAFT. This is a plain-language starting point. A lawyer must review it, and the brackets must be filled in, before the site goes live.

Terms of use

Last updated: [TO FILL]

Who we are and what this covers

These terms are between Opal AEO, D-2201, Gera, Hinjawadi Phase 2, Pune, Maharashtra 411057 (“we”, “us”) and the business that has an account (“you”). They cover the Opal AEO dashboard and the checks, results and reports it shows.

The service, honestly described

  • A “check” asks AI assistants a set of buyer-style questions about your market, through each assistant’s official interface with web search, and records the answers.
  • Every score is a measurement from a sample of answers, shown with a range. AI assistants give different answers at different times and in different places, and we ask a limited number of questions, so a result is an estimate.
  • We do not control the AI assistants and cannot know why one names a brand. We do not promise any ranking, mention, traffic, sales or other result. Our suggestions are suggestions, not guarantees that doing them will change anything.
  • Some assistants may not be included in every check. The dashboard names the ones that were really asked.
  • We make an effort to be accurate and we say plainly when we cannot tell. Our reports may still contain mistakes. [TO FILL: lawyer’s wording on accuracy and on claims an AI assistant makes about third parties.]

Your account

  • You make your own account with a name, an email address you confirm and a password. The people you invite can join it. An owner manages the account and its people; editors can change the brand’s profile and questions and run checks; viewers can read.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what is done through your people’s access. Remove anyone who leaves, and tell us at once if an address is no longer safe.
  • Do not try to look at another customer’s data, to overload the service, or to copy it by automated means.

Your information and ours

  • You keep your rights in what you give us (your brand’s information, notes and questions). You allow us to use it to run the service for you and to improve how the service works in general, without naming you.
  • We keep our rights in the service, its reports and the way it measures. You may use your reports inside your business and show them to your advisers and customers, as long as you do not present them as a guarantee and you keep the range with any figure you quote.
  • How we handle personal data is in the privacy notice.

Plans and fees

[TO FILL: lawyer and founder. What each plan includes, the period, the price, who pays tax, trials, renewal and refunds, and who takes payment. Online billing will have its own wording when it starts.]

Availability

We aim to keep the dashboard available but do not promise it will always be. We may pause it to maintain it. A check may be delayed or limited if an AI assistant or another provider is unavailable, and the dashboard will say when a check is partial.

Ending

You can stop at any time by writing to info@digitalemploy.in. We can end or pause access if these terms are broken or the fees are not paid, with notice where we reasonably can. After the end we delete your account’s data as the privacy notice says. You can download your data from Settings first.

Responsibility

[TO FILL: lawyer’s wording on limits of liability. In plain words: we are responsible for doing the work with reasonable care; we are not responsible for decisions made on estimates, for what AI assistants say, or for losses that could not be foreseen. Nothing here limits what the law does not allow us to limit.]

Changes, law and contact

We may change these terms. For a change that matters we email the account owner first, and you may stop if you disagree. These terms follow the law of [TO FILL: governing law] and its courts [TO FILL: jurisdiction]. Contact: info@digitalemploy.in.
